VINTAGE WINE RATING REVIEWER QUOTED REVIEW
2019 CALLISTO Red Wine 93 Dr. Owen Bargreen, WA Wine Blog The already nicely evolved 2019 ‘Callisto’ blends 50% Syrah with 44% Cabernet Sauvignon and a touch of Petit Verdot — all sourced from the Stillwater Creek Vineyard. This wine was stored in a considerably higher than average portion of new French oak (48%) before bottling. Espresso bean and blueberry compote from the Petit Verdot seem to be shining brightly, alongside boysenberry and toffee undertones. You are going to love this beautifully-posed wine that will cellar on for another decade or more. Drink 2023-2032
2019 CALLISTO Red Wine 93 - Critic's Choice Sean P. Sullivan, Northwest Wine Report Syrah makes up half of this wine, with the rest Cabernet Sauvignon (44%) and Petit Verdot. The aromas offer appealing notes of black raspberry, bittersweet chocolate, and black licorice. Palate-coating black cherry and chocolate flavors follow, with a lightly creamy feel upping the interest. It’s candy bar rich, with outrageous hedonistic appeal. 14.8% alcohol. Natural cork. 224 cases produced.
