A darker color than the other bottlings, the 2019 Malbec comes from the Stillwater Creek Vineyard in the Royal Slope AVA. This edition has 10% Petit Verdot and Syrah blended in. It engages you with heady blue fruit flavors alongside wet stone, dark chocolate shavings and shades of Turkish coffee on the palate. Lush and round, this is absolutely beautiful stuff to savor right now at the four year mark. Drink 2023-2035 |

Aromas of roasted coffee bean, black cherry, and dark chocolate lead to a quite rich, intensely flavored, high-thread count palate, chock full of chocolate and cherry notes. It sails on the finish. The balance is on point. The variety doesn’t entirely express itself, with a wine that is all about hedonism and brings it in abundance, but who cares? 14.6% alcohol. Micro-agglomerated cork. 125 cases produced. |
